| Hotel Description: |
| Hotel San Luca is cosy, quiet and discreet, set in the very
heart of historic Spoleto. It was founded in 1995, through the restoration
of a nineteenth-century tannery. Worthy of note is the spring within the
courtyard, which pope Innocent III caused to gush forth miraculously in
1198. An early 17th-century plaque on the fountain commemorates the
virtues of the "Holy Fountain". The San Luca is owned by members of the
Zuccari family, who run their hotel with loving care. Inside are many
pieces of antique furniture and a very unusual collection of antique soup
tureens. |
